Refund & Cancellation Policy

Try before you buy. MakeMyCVNow offers a free tier so you can test the AI CV builder, generate a CV, and download a PDF before paying anything. Because our premium plans deliver digital content instantly, all premium purchases are final. Refunds are issued only in the specific cases described below — technical faults on our side, or billing errors.
1. Digital Goods — Why Purchases Are Final
MakeMyCVNow premium plans give you immediate access to digital services: AI CV generation, AI cover letter generation, premium templates, unlimited PDF downloads, and the CV Gap Analyser. The moment you use any of these features, the value has been delivered and cannot be returned.
For this reason, MakeMyCVNow does not offer "change of mind" refunds. We strongly encourage every user to use the free tier first — it lets you generate a CV, a cover letter, and download a PDF at no cost, so you can evaluate the product before deciding to purchase a premium plan.
2. When You ARE Eligible for a Refund
We will issue a full refund in the following situations:

| Technical failure on our side | The premium service was unavailable or did not function (e.g. AI generation failed, PDF download did not work, premium templates were inaccessible), you reported it to us within 48 hours of purchase, and we were unable to resolve it. |
| Duplicate charge | You were charged more than once for the same plan due to a payment processing error. |
| Charged after the plan ended | You were charged for a plan you did not knowingly purchase, or charged after a plan had expired. (Note: MakeMyCVNow plans do not auto-renew — see Section 5.) |
| Unauthorized transaction | Your payment method was used without your authorization. We recommend you also report this to your bank or card issuer. |
3. When You Are NOT Eligible for a Refund
To set clear expectations, refunds will not be issued in these cases:
- You successfully used premium features — including generating an AI CV, generating a cover letter, downloading a PDF with a premium template, or running a CV Gap Analyser scan. Using the product means the value was delivered.
- You changed your mind after purchase, or no longer need the service.
- You did not review what the plan included before purchasing. The features of each plan are listed clearly on the pricing section before checkout, and the free tier is available to test the product first.
- You found a free or cheaper alternative after purchasing.
- Your 7-Day Pass or Monthly plan reached the end of its period. Plans provide access for a fixed duration and do not carry a refund for unused time.
- You were unable to use the service due to factors outside our control — for example, your own internet connection, browser, or device.
- You violated our Terms of Service.
4. How to Request a Refund
If your situation matches one of the eligible cases in Section 2, email us at support@makemycvnow.com within the applicable time window with:
- The email address associated with your MakeMyCVNow account
- The approximate date of purchase
- A description of the issue (for technical faults, please include screenshots if possible)
We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. Cancellation
MakeMyCVNow premium plans do not auto-renew. The 7-Day Pass and the Monthly Plan provide access for their stated duration and then simply expire — your card is never charged again automatically. There is no recurring subscription to cancel.
When a plan expires, your account reverts to the free tier. Your saved CVs and account data remain accessible. If you wish to continue using premium features after expiry, you can purchase a new plan at any time.
6. Goodwill Exceptions
We understand that occasionally a situation may not fit neatly into the categories above. While all premium purchases are final as a rule, MakeMyCVNow reserves the right — at its sole discretion — to grant a goodwill refund in genuine, exceptional circumstances. Granting a goodwill refund in one case does not create an obligation to do so in any other case.
7. Consumer Rights — Norway and EEA
Under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (Angrerettloven), consumers in Norway and the EEA generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services purchased online. However, this right does not apply where the consumer has given explicit prior consent for the service to begin, and has acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed or once the consumer begins to use it.
At checkout, MakeMyCVNow asks you to consent to immediate access to premium digital features and to acknowledge that, by using those features, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. If you have purchased a plan but have not used any premium feature, you may still exercise your 14-day right of withdrawal — contact support@makemycvnow.com. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory statutory rights that cannot be waived under applicable EEA law.
8. Consumer Rights — India
Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, consumers in India are entitled to transparent terms and to a remedy where a service is defective, not as described, or not delivered. This policy does not limit those statutory rights. If the premium service was defective or not delivered as described, you are entitled to a refund as set out in Section 2. To raise a consumer complaint, contact our support team, or approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
9. Payment Processing
Payments on MakeMyCVNow are processed securely through Razorpay. MakeMyCVNow does not store your full card or bank details. Where a refund is approved, it is returned through Razorpay to the original payment method. Processing timelines after approval are determined by Razorpay and your bank or card issuer.
10. Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with the outcome of a refund request, email support@makemycvnow.com with "Refund Dispute" in the subject line. We will review your case and respond within 5 business days. You also retain the right to escalate the matter through the applicable consumer protection channels referenced in our Terms of Service, or directly with Razorpay or your card issuer.
11. Changes to This Policy
MakeMyCVNow may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
